Internet Explorer - Increase performance with Web Proxy

Some ISPs use Web Proxies to increase the security of your Internet connection. Unfortunately in some cases, it seems like the Web proxy slows you down.

One thing you can do that might significantly increase your Web performance and allow the pictures to be downloaded normally is to configure the Internet Explorer to use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections. The default for this setting is disabled.

To enable it:
Click Tools in the menu bar, and then click Internet Options.
In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down until you see the list of options for HTTP 1.1 settings and put a checkmark in the checkbox for Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections
Click OK.
Close all of your browser windows and reopen Internet Explorer. You may find your connections are a lot faster now.
