If you like to play games on your PC and use the keyboard to control some of
the action in the game, then you've probably come across the pesky problem
of accidentally pressing the Windows Key (Sometimes also referred to as the
Start key) and having the Start menu pop-open. Sometimes this causes sudden
lag or freezing of the game, or it's enough of a distraction to become
really annoying especially when the game action becomes intense and you're
frantically trying to perform some action and then, *Ding* ,up pops the
Start menu yet again from an accidental press of that darn Windows
key! Or maybe you just find the Windows key an annoyance when typing in
general.
You could try to manually edit things yourself through the
registry to disable this key, but that can be a real hassle especially if
you want to enable the Windows Key again later, and even worse if you do
something wrong in the registry while fooling around in there.
So I found a nifty free little utility that does this task of
Disabling and Enabling the Windows key with ease.
It's called
"Disable That Key" (Click here to visit the download page).
It should work in most versions of Windows.
Happy Gaming! :)
